The annealing process must be carefully controlled to prevent the metal from becoming too soft or brittle, which could affect the final coin’s quality.

The striking process is where the blank is transformed into a detailed coin. Each blank is fed into a coin press, where it is stamped between two dies. When the press closes, the dies strike the blank with enormous force, transferring the designs onto the metal surface.
