T he Mexican Veinte peso is also referred to as the 20 peso coin and is one of the most highly regarded Gold coins in the world. The gold Veinte pesos coin still shows the intricate details of the design enough to appreciate. The first detail that captures the attention is the face in the centre of the coin which has a tongue protruding out which is actually an anthropomorphized sacrificial blade. Either side of the face is a pair of clawed hands that is holding objects believed to be human hearts. Most historians believe that the figure at the center of the Mexican Veinte peso is the sun god “Tonatiuh”. The sun stone relates to one of the main Aztec myths and the creation of various eras or as the Aztec’s referred to them as, suns
