In order to avoid conflict, they have named the second edition the memorial gold sovereign. The second 2022 sovereign is a commemoration of her majesty's reign which is the first gold sovereign to feature King Charles's portrait on the coin
The Memorial Gold Sovereign features a modern day interpretation of the United Kingdom's coat of arms and is a highly desired coin both within Great Britain and overseas. The coins were struck in five, two, one, half and quarter denominations and are available in proof, matt and bullion condition. Some of the issues were limited to being available as part of a four or five coin set
