Austrian Gold Bullion
Gold Vienna Philharmonics

The Vienna Philharmonic, also known as the Austrian Philharmonic coin. This is a bullion coin that is seen throughout Europe and the United Kingdom
T he classic Austrian Gold bullion coin, the Vienna Philharmonic derives its name from the Vienna Philharmonic orchestra. The coin was first struck in 1989 and had a face value denominated in Austrian Shillings. 2002 saw this change to the Euro currency. The obverse of the coin may be mistaken for a grand building but the design features the pipe organ from Goldener Saal. The Austrian Gold Vienna Philharmonic is an unusual bullion coin because it has no monarch or Austrian individual featured on the coin which is typically seen in coins such as the Britannia, Krugerrand and the Maple. The reverse of the coin features a range of musical instruments typical for the orchestra
