Platinum Queen's Beast Coins
T he first coin of the Platinum Queen's Beast series was first struck in 2017. This being the first a British bullion coin was made in Platinum, the Platinum Queen's Beast coins was the first Platinum coins offered by the Royal Mint. As the Platinum Queen's Beast coins are legal tender in the UK, they are exempt from capital gains tax for UK investors
Queen's Beast coins are 999.5 fine Platinum, making them 99.95% pure. Each coin has a bullion value of £751.05. The coins are finished to a beautiful bullion standard with a total mass of 31.38g
The Platinum versions of this popular range had an unlimited mintage at the time of production, with all coins within the range being manufactured to meet demand. Given that Platinum coins are subject to value added tax within the UK. The demand for these high value pieces were much lower than the Gold versions, in turn making the Platinum Queen's Beasts relatively difficult to source
Since the Platinum Lion of England coin was released by the Royal Mint, other Platinum offerings have been made which includes the iconic Platinum Britannia coin as well as a Platinum Royal Arms bullion coin. These Platinum bullion coins are ideal assets to increase one's exposure to the Platinum market and carry a much lower premium compared to Platinum proof coins
