In 2016 the Royal Mint launched the first of ten Queen's Beast coins that were minted in Platinum, Gold and Silver in celebration of the ten beasts inherited by Queen Elizabeth II. Statues of each of the beasts were present at her coronation and now reside at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Canada where they have been since summer 1959

The statues of the Queen's Beasts were originally "King's Beasts" displayed for King Henry VIII and his third wife. Each of the beast's were assigned a unique shield displaying a coat or arms or other heraldic badge which was the only coloured part of the statues until 1967 in which each beast was painted in their full heraldic colours
