The historic Gold Brazilian 6400 reis featuring José I was struck in Brazil between 1751 and 1777. The 14.34g coin is made of a 91.67% Gold alloy containing 13.145g of fine Gold. These coins are one of the most attractive historic coins from the era and is extremely sought in high AU and mint state grades.
The coins feature José I facing right, along with a “B” or “R” mint mark, denoting that the coin was struck at the Bahia Mint or Rio de Janeiro Mint respectively. José I was the first person to feature on the Brazilian 6400 coin range .
