The 1 oz Gold American Eagle is the official U.S. gold bullion coin, minted since 1986. Struck from 22-karat gold, it contains one troy ounce of pure gold, with silver and copper for durability. The obverse features Saint-Gaudens’ Lady Liberty, holding a torch and olive branch. The reverse originally depicted a family of eagles but was updated in 2021 with a close-up eagle portrait by Jennie Norris.
With a $50 face value, the coin’s market price is based on gold content. Recognised worldwide, it is highly liquid and a trusted asset for investment, wealth preservation, and collecting.
