Georg of Schaumburg-Lippe (1846–1911) was a German nobleman who served as the reigning Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe from 1893 until his death in 1911. Georg became the reigning prince in 1893, following the death of his elder brother Adolf II. Georg maintained a close relationship with the German Kaiser, Wilhelm II, and was a loyal supporter of the German Empire.
The Georg of Schaumburg-Lippe German 20 Marks has a mintage of 10,500 coins with 382 proof coins struck in 1898 and 1904. This type is another rare German 20 Mark with a very limited production run with 5,000 1898 dated coins and 5,500 coins dates 1904. All coins featuring Georg of Schaumburg-Lippe were minted in the Berlin Mint
