The Honduas Gold Diez Peso is a numismatic treasure which was struck at the Tegucigalpa Mint in Honduras. The diez peso is an extremely rare type. Thirteen coins dated 1883 were discovered in 2000 which were previously unknown to collectors, consensus is that these were struck as wedding gifts for wealthy families with nearly all having been polished. Only twenty-five examples dated 1889 and ten from 1895 are documented
