The Gold Iranian 2.5 Pahlavi (1960-1974) is a Gold coin that circulated in Iran during the reign of the Pahlavi dynasty. The Pahlavi coin was introduced by Reza Shah Pahlavi in 1926 as part of a broader monetary reform and was named after the ruling dynasty. The coin continued to be minted during the reign of his son, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, until the end of the monarchy in 1979
