The historic Gold Napoleon I gold 20 Francs, a popular type for European Gold coin collectors given it is one of the very first Gold Francs to be produced. The Napoleon I 20 Franc was struck between 1807-1813 inclusive, making the production period relatively short. The 6.45g coin is made of a 90% Gold alloy containing 5.81g of fine Gold
The coins are the earliest type of Gold French Francs and should not be confused with the similar named Napoleon III Francs which were produced around 40-years later
