The Gold Spanish 2 Escudo featuring Carlos III was struck in Spain between 1772 and 1785. The 6.7g coin is made of a 90% Gold alloy containing 6.03g of fine Gold. These coins are extremely rare and command a high premium in the secondary market, especially when graded as mint state.
The inscription on the coin is Latin, whilst the reverse of the coin displays the crowned Spanish coat of arms. These coins were produced by the Royal Mint of Spain in Madrid.
